Our Fold-Over Sling Bag - Khoisan made from a 100% South African Cow Leather. Additionally this Sling Bag has a multi colour tribal design cotton weave on the back which folds over the front top half of the bag. The interior of this Sling Bag also lined with an original South African Shweshwe fabric for strength and style. The Fold-Over Sling Bag - Khoisan designed to limit theft and therefor has a durable metal zip and antique brass snap hook to secure all your personal belongings. Fitted with another zip pocket at the back for smaller items. As a matter of fact all NAVA Apparel bags are handmade by local South African craftswomen.

Artist Inspiration:  The Khoisan Collection designed for the free spirited wanderers who chose to live from the land. Those who live in harmony with nature like the Kalahari Bushman. It’s tribal, it’s wild but yet peaceful and harmonious. Wearing pieces from this collection must be respected because the Khoisan are the original native South African’s. Therefor still roam the lands, driven to the deserts by those who think they know better. Searching for a place of their own, to live in peace and be one with Mother Earth. Shweshwe a printed cotton fabric widely used for traditional South African clothing. Manufactured in a variety of colours and printing designs characterised by intricate geometric patterns. Shweshwe described as the denim of South Africa. Traditionally used to make dresses, aprons and wraparound clothing. Shweshwe clothing traditionally worn by newly married Xhosa and Sotho women, known as makoti. Aside from traditional wear, shweshwe used in contemporary South African fashion design for women and men from all ethnic groups, as well as for making accessories and upholstery.
