This Backpack Khoisan Black Leather made from a 100% South African Cow Leather with a multi colour tribal design cotton weave fabric on the front. The Texas Leather range got a protected coating on it, which makes the leather more water resistant. The Backpacks interior lined with a locally made fabric called Shweshwe. Shweshwe fabric is strong, durable and looks great inside. Our Backpack Khoisan Black Leather is designed to minimise theft from pick pocketing. The Backpack also has a leather belt with antique brass buckle for extra closure. This Backpack also fitted with metal zips from YKK to protect belongings from falling out. As well as a hidden zip pocket on the back for your valuable items, like phone, wallet, keys etc. Not just another Backpack but a Backpack with a purpose. Artist Inspiration:  The Khoisan Collection designed for the free spirited wanderers who chose to live from the land. Those who live in harmony with nature like the Kalahari Bushman. It’s tribal, it’s wild but yet peaceful and harmonious. Wearing pieces from this collection must be respected because the Khoisan are the original native South African’s. Therefor still roam the lands, driven to the deserts by those who think they know better. Searching for a place of their own, to live in peace and be one with Mother Earth. Shweshwe a printed cotton fabric widely used for traditional South African clothing. The fabric manufactured in a variety of colours and printing designs characterised by intricate geometric patterns. Shweshwe described as the denim of South Africa. This fabric traditionally used to make dresses, skirts, aprons and wraparound clothing. Shweshwe clothing traditionally worn by newly married Xhosa women, known as makoti, and married Sotho women. Xhosa women also incorporated the fabric into their traditional ochre-coloured blanket clothing. Aside from traditional wear, shweshwe used in contemporary South African fashion design for women and men from all ethnic groups, as well as for making accessories and upholstery. Also used in the United States as a quilting fabric.
